Former first-grade teacher admits he molested children
55 comments | Read story
For years he molested little children, and now he pleads guilty and weeps bitterly.
I am thankful for the person or persons that either caught him, or convinced him to report his crimes.
No excuse for child abuse.
when were you appointed the 'giver and taker' of life? it is God and God only who can make that choice.
Pornography is not a victimless issue. Everything I have read and heard tells me that these perverts started with pornography and did have the self discipline to stop and allowed themselves to continue.
I feel so sorry for the victims on both sides.
Yes, by quoting you I had to spell "pornography" with an "A". Looking at the keyboard in front of me, "a" is on the opposite end of the keyboard from "o" so I am really curious as to what "pornAgraphy" is!
Let's say I allow what I will let you have as a "typo", my question for you is "what led to pornAgraphy/pornography?" By specifying "adult" pornAgraphy/pornography that excludes any and all images, thoughts, and ideas of children doesn't it?? What you said sounds like watching a television ad for Arby's is going to cause a person to eventually go to Ruby River. There is a vast difference between the two, so please don't try and delude people into believing that a child molester got their idea from a Victoria's Secret's catalog.
While I have the opportunity i met as well share with you what I had read. Studies showed that there was actually less incidents of sex crimes among nudism practicing people!! Remmember "Prohibition", when they made alcohol "illegal"? By doing that it actuall made people want alcohol more, not less.
I'm sorry for what you went through!
Interesting philosiphy. Condemn the man to sexual abuse becuase he commited sexual abuse? Didn't your mother ever teach you that two wrongs do not make a right?
Think about all the cases that we don't hear about; those who like myself kept a dark secret because of the hurt to other family members. In my case it was a no win situation!!!
God bless & protect our children... and all of us really!
"I'm not sending my kids to public school with perverted strangers"
Cause you, all the perverted strangers dwell in public schools...
I think pornography is a dangerous thing - but I don't think it causes a person to become a pedophile. I believe this man has a messed up brain and a messed up libido - he hates himself. What he did ruined alot of lives.
Those calling for "hanging," "castration," and "prison justice," please remember the crime was touching kids' bums. Sick and wrong? Of course. Punishable by death? Let's keep things in perspective.
This man is one twisted individual. We shouldn't say that we need to pull our children out of public schools. That is insane!! You can't say, "just because one teacher did it then all must be doing it." I am an educator, and your comment offends me.
This man needs to be castrated, locked up, and never allowed out again.
What this man did was clearly wrong, wrong, wrong. And to the children and families that read this - I am very sorry this happened. Nothing can change it. I pray that you and your children will get the counsel, love, and compassion they need to get past this. And yes, you can move past this (I would know). Please remember that forgiveness is primarily for your benefit - not for Mr. Hall's.
And no, an abusive past is not an excuse for perpetrating the same crimes upon others. But hopefully it will evoke a small amount of compassion for Mr. Hall. These children will get help (hopefully). If Mr. Hall was abused, it is apparent he did not get the help he needed as a boy.
This monster should be locked up for the rest of his life, without the chance for parole. If one of my children were victimized by this monster, I would have to be physically restrained from going after him and giving him the justice he deserves.
Yeah, it's fashionable and politically correct to talk about "porn addiction"--now anything can be an "addiction" requiring 12-step treatment or some other form of rehab. (Fat people aren't really fat--they've got a food addiction! Dumb people aren't really dumb--they've got a stupidity addiction!)
If one person in 10,000 watches a movie and it makes him want to go out and abuse a child, by all means lock him up and don't let him view any movies anymore, ever. He's obviously the type to blame his actions on external influences. But what about the other 9,999 people who handed it just fine?
Calling for a blanket ban on porn--even supposing porn were the sole cause of the terrible mental and spiritual depravity that causes a few sick people to abuse children--is like saying cats should be banned because some people are allergic to them.
You in fact very LIBERALLY labeled a lot of people into what is probably a very small category. You also very liberally stated your point of view. You were not very conservative about your opinion at all.
I don't think that perversion can be labeled liberal or conservative. It is just perversion. And it can be hidden under any mask. So watch out for all of the perverts not just the liberal ones.
One thing that I think we can agree on as human beings is that people who abuse children should be locked up.
