quick question | 8:51 a.m. Sept. 21, 2007
When will the inevitable happen? The relegation of Real Salt Lake to the womens U21 league? This team is a joke and has been since it came to Utah. I bet they would barely post a winning record in a women's league.

Never, next season will be our breakout year. All the pieces are finally getting in order. Should be a great time for Utah Soccer next year and many more after that.

You have to love the moron soccer-haters who come and post comments to soccer articles. I can honestly say, i've never posted a comment on a NASCAR article or Bass fishing article. "quick question" stay with what you know. Keep your black & white, rabbit ear TV in your trailer to the NASCAR race and leave the soccer fans alone:)

Just wanted to drop a quick note and remind the dozens of soccer fans out there that soccer is going nowhere in the US. If people were really excited about it, it would have started to grow years ago. RSL could win the world cup next year and nobody would care about it. Could we get a refund for the stadium?

Howdy: What a small brain, what a minuscule intelligence, what a laughable opinion. If you don't care about soccer, stick to whatever you like.

Even us, people in Texas know and envy what you are going to have in Sandy. We're just waiting for the stadium to be finished to visit, once again, such wonderful state.

In the meantime, let's remind you what Max Plank, Nobel Prize in Physics once said:

"New ideas don't suceed by converting the old. They succeed by converting the young and waiting for the old to die."

Intelligenti pauca...

Tell me, is ignorance really bliss? Soccer has already gone somewhere in the US. The world cup drew more AMERICAN television viewers than the NBA Finals.

Given, the MLS isnt the SPL/EPL but it is a young league and is starting to create a buzz on the world stage (two MLS players being traded to top Euro teams).

Finally, why do you care?

Hey, Howdy, did you see the 20,000 people in RES on Wednesday, yup going nowhere. Here is a hint at growth, 4 new teams in MLS in 4 years, 6 new soccer specific stadiums either opened this year or under construction. The league has gone from one team turning a profit to 5 this year and projections of 8 next year. The TV deal with MLS is now one where the networks are actually paying for the ability to broadcast the matches. TV ratings for the World Cup, were better than the MLB Playoffs, NHL Playoffs, and as good as the NBA playoffs.

Good thing you don't know much about the sport.

Hey Quick,
It is clear you have not seen RSL beat some of the top MLS teams this year despite a total roster rebuild.

While it is still early to judge I like this new GM...it seems as if he may be able to do things right that will balance out JK's off field faults.

Here is to 2008 being a breakout year and winning the 2007 Rocky Mountain Cup to start things off!

RSL Fans from the Beginning | 9:25 a.m. Sept. 25, 2007
FRUSTRATED! For those fans who are true fans, and have been with RSL from the beginning, are you as frustrated as I am not seeing some of the younger players being developed? These guys play with heart, and have talent. What a mentor, Eddie Pope, why is Nik B not playing next to Eddie Pope, Nik has major potential. Jamie W, who was always our SUPER SUB. He hit the field and you could feel the motivation, and we as fans loved to see him play! Christian J, a good, hard player, Willis F, he was doing GREAT with the starting 18. ALL have been with this team from the beginning, so now what, we just dump them without giving them the chance. COME ON GARTH ONE MORE YEAR for the fans that have stuck by RSL and believed in all the changes?? We ask that you give them the chance to show their talent with some PLAYING TIME! Signed 100 or more RSL SEASON TCKT HLDRS
