Tough Mayor to replace - not hardy. The former Mayor of Beirut might be a better replacement. I do beg to disagree that he has spent more time working for SLC than other Mayors. The "more time" he spent was out of the state working on his "National Agenda."

Compliments on you jounalism and professional eye. 'You can't make an omlette with out breaking eggs' and no one who gets things done ever wins a hands down popularity vote.

Rocky is outstanding. He is completely honest and highly principled-a rare combination these days. My respect for him would have been gravely diminished had he met -as you implied he should -with the Bush gang.

Yours Jann Haworth

The closer we get to the end of Rocky's reign the better I feel. It's been hard to stomach having him represent us to the rest of the world.

It's not over people! | 10:21 a.m. Sept. 14, 2007
I'm sick of reporters and pundits calling the race two months ahead of schedule. Just because Becker came out ahead in the primary it doesn't guarantee an automatic victory in November! Last time I checked, there was a primary election for a reason- to narrow the field for the general election- not to proclaim a victor early! The turnout for this race was dismal, and with vouchers on the ballot in November, turnout for the general will be much better. That alone makes the numbers from the primary less solid! Come on people- don't call it before it's over!!!

Someone please let the air out of the Rocky ballon so it can pass on. Rocky only did half of what was needed for downtown and as a result we live in squaller, panhandlers and street bums. Thanks for ruining what used to be the cleanest city in America.

I luv Rocky! I only regret he didn't host a "Moon the Prez" day during Bush's visit here, like our Aussie friends did. I hope Rocky goes on to better things in Hillary's cabinet, maybe Secretary of the Interior or some sort of religion liaison. Godspeed, Rocky. Many of us here will really miss you.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
