Even though there is a sense of relief and security to know how Camille died, her family and friends will never be the same and it is my prayer that good will come from this tragedy, whether it be in the form of an awareness of the dangers of hiking or rock climbing by oneself or a new cherishing of life.

My girlfriend and I were pulled off that mountain by search and rescue only two weekends ago! It's eirie to know that our fears two weeks ago could have so easily been a reality. I'm thankful for our lives that were spared, but I'm overwhelmed by saddness for those that are affected by Camille's death.

As I have prayed for Camille, I have also seen young women riding alone, and thought, "Oh, I wish they'd take a friend along!"
My prayers are with the family, and with all the searchers... and for those who may think to venture out alone -- please take a friend along!

Its always a tragedy to see such a young life end so tragically. Her family has been on the minds of so many people. Let us all continue to pray for comfort and peace to them and Camille's many friends.

After reading the article online that KSL conducted with the two kids that stole the bike that belonged to Camille Cleverly I am outraged. I began talking with neighbours and family members and we are willing to take any action necessary to make sure charges are bought against them.

They broke the law by being in the park after hours; they STOLE a bike and then took five days to turn it into authorities.

What if Camille was still alive on Sunday morning waiting for help or unconscious and instead of turning in the bike right away or called into the police where they might have found her...they TOOK it and possibly killed her.

So on top of being somewhere they should not have been, and stealing something, they hindered the police investigation for FIVE days and all the evidence that was on the bike and or around it. If it had been reported on Sunday, the police could have looked at the bike and fingerprinted it where it was and the location could have been searched.

The article I read quoted the Lawyer as saying that "police do not intend to press charges against my clients." In the very LEAST they hindered an investigation and at most killed a young girl waiting for help.

The media needs to question the police department and their actions. This is an outrage. The police need to book these teenagers and the State needs to file charges. Even if the coroner's report finds she died on impact, these kids kept a family aching for five more days than needed and caused valuable evidence to be destroyed. It would be injustice if they walked away scott free.

I hope her autopsy shows she died before that couple stole her bike. That would be something to have to live with...

I was praying they would find her alive. There are so many unanswered questions...like... who used her credit card? Was she alone? Why would she make such an adventurous outing alone? I am sure when they figure out the actual time of her death they can get to the bottom of some of these questions. I am so sad about this. I will keep her family, friends, and the community who looked for her in my prayers. Thanks to the great Utah County Sheriffs department for their Canyon Search & Rescue, and for all the search efforts.

We have followed this story intensely since we found out about it. Having known Camille and her family as my kids grew up has made it very personal for us. We will continue to hope that Camille was taken by the will of God and not by any form of foul play. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Joel, Susan, and the entire family.

There are still some things about this that don't add up. Where did she spend the night Thursday night? If she had already died, who used the debit card? Did they find another key to her bike lock at the scene? I still don't have a good feeling about this one.

My heart goes out to the parents. Having four of my own,with one serving in Iraq, I would be devastated if anything happened to any of them. It would be my faith that would keep me centered. May heavenly father bless the mother & father with comfort. I know he has already brought Camille home to Him!

My wife and I have been praying that Camille'd be found. Her body indeed was, and she herself is OK, too, I'm sure, where she is now. There are far worse fates that could've been the case that I'd feared was hers.

It's indeed very dangerous to go rock climbing and hiking alone in rough terrain. How many times have we read stories about people falling off the cliffs above the Y, etc.? Hopefully, others will take notice of this sad event, and be more careful. When I was Camille's age, I did similarly dangerous things, once suffering hypothermia alone at the Emerald Lake hut after a solo hike. Youthful impulse sometimes brings sad results.

We hope & pray that Camille's loved ones will find peace, and know that she's in her Heavenly Father's care. In the eternal perspective, nothing will be lost to this fine young woman.

Brooke, it's people like you who create the culture of blame and litigation in our society today. Yes, the kids took the bike (gimme a break about being the park after hours), but would you rather they just abandon the bike so people like you don't throw them in jail? Thanks to their actions, S&R knew to focus on one area. I wouldn't call them heroes, but I'm glad they went to the police. It's extremely unlikely they had anything to do with her death (was her bike going to come to her rescue by itself?), so lay off please.

I'm sure you've never made a bad choice or choices in your life. We should harshly deal out punishment to any and all who are not perfect....

I pray for comfort for this young woman's family and friends. It says she had suffered from depression, etc. It's all speculation but maybe we could all be a little kinder and offer a cheerful greeting and earnest friendship to those around us, as you never know when our kindness may help lift someone up who is struggling inside.

Apparently bottles similar to those purchased at the convinience store were found by the body. I' assuming she was the one that purchased them. But that raises the question where was she Thursday night? Could she have been home that night and not noticed?
Did she have roommates? As far as the two kids who stole the bike, when a bike is locked up wouldn't one assume the owner was planning on returning? Would someone abandon it locked up in a bike rack? And how many innocent kids just happen to be out that late at night with a set of bolt cutters? My heart goes out to Camille's family. What a tragedy.

My deep felt condonlances to the family and to the boyfriend. It sounds like it was probably an accident. I have a daughter there at BYU too and we were all praying for a better outcome. How grateful the family must be to all the volunteers and all those who gave support to them.

It may be that the police arent booking these teens by request of the family. I imagine its the families right to press charges or not and frankly its none of our buisness why or why not these teens are prosecuted so the cops gave a simple "we do not intend to press charges" statement to everyone. Its tragic that this has to be the only case I've heard of a stolen bike being found among the dozens Ive seen stolen since I moved here.

The crimes were a curfew violation and the stealing of a bike. Let's leave it at that. Not a hint of forgiveness in your words. Please leave the investigation to the police & FBI.
