Balanced partisan election. Even though mayoral elections are supposedly nonpartisan, most everybody knows the political affiliation of the candidates and the strong tendency of voters to be assisted by party labels when voting. Nevertheless, based on the fund raising amounts, it appears that both Democratic and Republican labeled or leaning candidates have a rough parity of funds. This balance will make the up-coming elections more fair and balanced without one candidate having to fear that partisan votes are being split among like-minded candidates as in this case Buhler and Christensen, and Wilson and Becker get to slog it out between themselves respectively and may the best candidate representing the respective parties win the primary election.

I thought that the news would report how Rocky told Jenny Wilson that she should stay home and be a mom instead of be mayor. If I were Keith Christensen, I would distance myself from Rocky--he might have a better chance of winning the dem nomination.
