What a nice surprise, a story in the DMNews about roller derby no less, in all its tattooed, big-hearted, bar-brawling, crash-mouth attitude goodness! Thank you, Amy D. for a great story about a great diversion, and the photos rock!

(See, DMNews editors, it wasn't that hard to write and publish stories about the counter-culture, was it! Maybe next week a guide to brewing beer at home? Rootbeer!)

I can't help but think of that "Laverne & Shirley" episode where they did the roller derby and took out the other team.

What a great article! Thanks, D. News, for covering SCDG! The Olympic Oval is a big, big tent, and everyone in Salt Lake -- regardless of beliefs -- can probably find something in Roller Derby that appeals to them. (We even had two Elders in their crisp white shirts watch part of a game once.) Come on down, friends, and see what it's all about. (Don't forget to drop by the announce table during half time and say hi to Johnny, DJ Frosty, and me. We love to meet Derby fans.)
