I did skim this article but I didn't find a location for this new convention center.

Why would you expect details? This is modern journalism. If the press release didn't specify an address, it wasn't important to mention.

I was at the groundbeaking on Friday. The convention center is just off exit #275 to the east. There's a huge field right accross from a BMW dealership. That's where the hotel & convention center will be built. Just a minor detail that was skipped in this article.
