It would be unwise to start a freshman who has been injured. On the other hand,
do you want to start someone who was pretty much ineffective last year? Tough
spot for the team.

Asiata is not a freshman - he's a junior, All-American JC transfer.

It's not that big of a decision. Asiata, when healthy is hands down the
best running back in that program. There's a reason Poston is back for a
6th year. There are reasons the other 2 juniors haven't stepped up and
taken control of the position--they're not good! Why do you think Weddle
was playing so much as a RB last season? They had those other 3 with the team
but none of them got on the field because they aren't any good. Asiata is
easily the best RB on that roster, and maybe even the state!

The article say "and (true freshman)Eddie Wide." It is not inferring
that Asiata is a freshman.

Asiata is the most able back at Utah right now. Hopefully, he'll get back
to 100% in time for OSU. It's good to see that BJ is on the watch list.
He is extremely athletic and makes great things happen both on the ground and in
the air. If he can reduce turnovers from when he last started, he'll do
very well. He was 4th in the nation in offensive yards in 2005-2006 until he
got injured.

Asiata practiced four times once in pads it's a reason why byu didn't
want him.Poston's the fastest back on the team, unless he's hurt we go
with him. He's playin with the second team offense no blockin what so ever
and he doing a nice job with scraps figure out away to get him the ball,if urban
was here he could figure it out.

pltnummuzk....BYU was hot after Matt. The problem is Matt didn't want BYU.
I will give the Y credit, you do have a stable of good backs but Matt would have
fit right in there. The only reason he took the JC route was to get his grades
up.
