This fellow has already jumped ship several times for more pay, and now comes back, for what? Another retirement package and more pay? And what's he going to do? He's a desk-driver. What the mayor (aka the county) needs is someone willing to work in the trenches. What we don't need is another desk jockey!
Why not hire someone with a passion for the county and a passion for emergency preparedness? This smacks of one politician hiring a "good old boy" at a high price. Get some new ideas! Get someone local who really wants to stay here and make a difference.
Sure we will see Flowers. But probably in a large SUV with flashing lights traveling (on tax dollar) from a resort home in another county. Get someone who works for a living and understands the challenges of real people working real jobs with real problems. This fellow has had it so easy with high pay for so long, he's out of touch. Mayor, shame on you!
Maybe the News will keep an eye on our tax dollars and hold the Mayor and Flowers to task!
