That said, the littering of butts has pushed over the edge and I do support bans on smoking in any location where any justification can be found. I'm tired of seeing smokers ashing their cigs and even toss their often still glowing butts out their car windows. I'm tired of smokers dropping their cigs where ever they finish rather than walking 10 feet to an ashtray or garbage can (properly extinguish first please). I see no reason why I should have to clean up butts from my front yard.
To the 10% of smokers who do not litter, I'm sorry. You don't deserve more bans. But the 90% of smokers who are thoughtless and litter have brought this on.
