I loved him, and deeply appreciate how I was taught through the spirit as he
spoke. His simple statements of principle like; a sensitive conscience is the
sign of a healthy spirit, will be long remembered by me. He brought great
strength to my life. I will miss his gentle yet precise words, his love for each
individual. I will miss his voice at conference.

Baaaaaa...Baaaaaaaaaa....I will always remember the story he told in conference
about the lamb. Not just his imitation, but the message behind that marvelous
story. Charity, kindness, thoughtfulness...He was a great leader. Following his
plea to cut back on hectic family schedules to have more quality time together
has deeply, hugely, profoundly affected our family for good! so long friend!

We will surely miss his kind, warm and humorous council given in his talks. We have been so blessed to have gentle giant like Pres Faust. What a calm and assuring GA he was. He was a grandfather's grandfather. I loved his talks and spirit. What a joy he will bring to the spirit world. Can't wait to meet him and work with him in the millenium.

Having James E. Faust was such a blessing in the lives of all who knew him and
loved him.
As an Independent Conservative, he showed that one can be a good Democrat (hard to find these days!) and a good Latter-day Saint. He had a kindness to him that made you feel the honored one when you were in his presence.
His love for the Gospel and for his fellow men and women was indeed an inspiration as well as a role model. He will be missed for now; however, we will see you again, kind friend!

Today Heaven just gained an awesome example of what it means to be a good and
decent man. I am sure he has much work to do but I hope today he was able to be
with all of those prophets who have passed before him and he was able to give
them a hug and let them know that their work is going well.

I was blessed to spend two weeks with Elder and Sister Faust in a performing
trip to China in 1979. What a wonderful experience that was, as he really became
a friend to all of us. We were concerned about one of the group started out
teasing him about his coat and tie and briefcase. Surprisingly, the coat, tie,
and briefcase all disappeared and we had a great time getting to know one
another. He was a true friend and leader and we will miss him for now.

I have learned many things through the talks that I have listened to in the
twelve years of my membership in the church, none has touched my heart as much
as when President Faust talked of forgiveness and the story of how one small
Aumish community showed an example of what forgiveness really was. I regret
never personally knowing such a man because my life is better and I am a much
happier man because of his teachings. I wish comfort to his family and to the
many more who did not know him in person but through his caring heart got to
know the spirit of a great person.

We are all blessed to have listened to President Faust speak. He will be
missed. Even here in Iraq I can't stop the tears from rolling down my
face.

Pres. Faust was always special to me. He taught me the love of Christ through
his humble and loving talks and example. And his determination humbled me even
when he would give his talks sitting down. I know the Lord needs him working
alongside Him now. May the Lord bless Sis. Faust and their family.

A true giant of a man, who undestood and exemplified real Christ-like humility,
with always a loving admiration for all good people in the world, whether inside
or outside the Church. He often told stories about the bravery and faith of
people of other denominations and our own and challenged all to seek to emulate
their courage. His legacy of pure humble service will not be lost to the church
or the wider world community.

I loved the power of his logic, always rendered with simple, but eloquent
language and which seemed to move several levels higher in meaning when
delivered with his wonderful voice.

Our heart are sadden because we will miss you very much and will not see you at
the Fall General Conference. Thank you for the overwhelming love and service

I know the voice of God's servants, and President Faust was truly a chosen
vessel of God. I pray that God strengthen your family. We will miss President
Faust, but I know we all will see him again.

i loved him...i liked his great testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ....i think
that his testimony in the lastest general conference or in the special witness
of Christ( special program) was one of the most powerfull proclamations about
the divinity of the Lord... He knew with a perfect knowledge that Jesus is the
Christ....

President Faust and his personal way of giving his messages in general
conference will surely be missed. I feel I have been so blessed to learn from
his words. All of heavens' blessings to him and his loved ones at this
time of parting.

Our great loss is Heaven's gain. Until we meet again, President Faust,
have a pleasant slumber. My sincerest condolences to his family. He will
forever live in all the hearts and minds of all that knew him personally or knew
of him.

I didn't know he was called as a high counselor while he was in law school.
And according to the timeline, he became part of a bishopric during his first
year of practice. That's quite a lot to juggle, but it's probably
representative of his priorities.

I feel the earth mourn at the loss of any of the Brethren. All of them are
noble men, choosen vessles of the Lord and a blessing to us all. President
Faust is amoung the great men to have come to dwell among us. He was not
obtrusive in personality and seemed not to seek the lime light but served at his
best in all he was called to do. We will miss him.

I was over joyous when I heard the news of his passing because, here is a man
that was faithful and strong to the end of his mortal life. He is a great
example to me of how I want to live my life up until that day when i can go no
more. I know he has been welcomed dearly in heaven as one who fought the good
fight. My prayers go out to those who love him dearly, family and friends alike,
that you all may call upon the great comforter (The Holy Ghost) to help realize
the greatness of his passing and to fill that empty space that has been made.

As a teenager I was blessed to have President Faust as my stake president and to
hear him speak. He has always been an influence in my life for good. His
children are so blessed to have had him as their father.

I never had a chance to meet President Faust personally. However, I had always
had the feeling I met him. And that I had known him for ages. His influence in
my life has been very important since I heard him talk for the first time in a
General Conference. He showed us the way to be a genuine Christ follower.

I am proud to call President Fouset a church elder brother, a military brother,
a native of Utah and a United States Citizen. I will miss his direction and
sprit when he addressed the church. I know God has a true warrior on his right
side in James E. Foust. God bless you brother, and may he bless your family.
