Pres Faust lives near where I work - he stopped in to ask what we do and those that were here at that time were warmed by his presence. We have missed seeing him take his walks, but I am sure his mobility has been restored.

Our hearts go out to the Faust family at this time. What a blessing it was for us to be able to feast upon the beautiful words of wisdom that President Faust always had to offer. He was such a loving teacher to us all and we are grateful to have had him as a leader of the church and as a true apostle of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I remember brother Faust with much love and admiration. I worked at Holy Cross Hospital in the rehab ward years ago and saw his love for a friend from his military service who was not a member of the church. Brother Faust came every week like clockwork to visit this friend who had had a stroke to encourage and support him. I learned that love is unconditional for all men. I send my love to all of the Faust family members. We love Brother Faust.

President Faust was a wonderful example of a man whose focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ was a guiding light to the Church. I pray that his family and those who loved him can take comfort in his nearly perfect example, his unshakable testimony, and the inspiration he was to all of us. Thank you for sharing him.

One day our family was visiting Salt Lake City and encountered President Faust as he came out of building. He immediately walked over to my sons, gave them the most loving greeting and talked to each one briefly. He is a man who practiced what he preached. We are going to miss him.

My daughter who was a teenager at the time and I met President Faust. We were at a restaurant and he just looked at her and spoke to her like he could see her beautiful spirit. What a beautiful thing to do to see that in others.

You came to Goshen Scout Camp to be with your grandson, you shared your special witness of the Savior with all, you showed your gift of discernment for the special needs of the individual Scouts as we walk along the lake after dinner, you praised our "Dutch Oven Chicken Dinner" and wrote about it in your journal that 'it was the best you had had since your father cooked it for you', and you talked with me in the car on the way home and I knew that I was speaking with an Apostle of the Lord.

After reading the article, I realize that like all prophets, even Joseph Smith Jr. the Lord starts preparing these men at young ages to become Prophets and Apostles. President Faust was prepared to become a leader in the church.
Earl L. Grossen | 8:28 a.m. Aug. 10, 2007
Our family extends condolences at this time of an
enormous loss of a giant in the Church. He truly
was a valued and cherished leader-a true man of
God. I missed running into him at Bill's market
on the avenues. Gus Faust shared lots of stories
about him. We wish all the Faust family all the best.

I was saddened to hear of Pres. Faust's passing this morning - Our family's prayers for comfort go out to his family and friends everwhere - what an amazing example of strength his life has been to all. God bless and comfort all who mourn his passing.

President Faust once told a story about him being a young boy sitting by the fireplace, watching his grandmother as she kept going out into the cold getting firewood for the family dinner? I think. He just sat and watched. As he told the story, tears streamed down his face, as he remarked on how he was so selfish that day, and he wanted so much to tell his grandmother he was sorry. I was so touched by that story, and have tried to live by that principle ever since. He was humble, meek, intelligent, and sincere. Also - he had red hair. =). I LOVE you, President Faust. May Heavenly Father's choicest blessing's be with your family at this time.

I met President Faust when he was in our stake to reorganize the stake presidency in June of 1978. He met with about 20 stake and ward leaders in the course of that assignment. When he entered the room, every man there rose to their feet. We all had the strongest feeling that we ought to be standing out of respect for the spirit we felt. He assured us that the Lord had already selected the new stake president. The responsibility he had was simply to identify that person. With a smile he then said, "I have come to know that this marvelous power (revelation) works...even through me." Only a few months later he was called to serve in the Quorum of the Twelve.

We will all miss his example of sweet tenderness and his humble but powerful and sure testimony of the Savior.
