I work at the state hospital and from my experience, mental health restoration is not an accurate term. Functional within society is more appropriate. Many of these people will have their illness for most of their life. If we are able to give the patients the medicine they need and training on how to deal with their illness in a non-distructive way, I feel we've done our job.
