Censorship or artistic choice? Library recants author invite

I am a Mormon, living in Colorado, and found the book to be a realistic portrayal of a single Mom's struggles out of a troubled past and an abusive relationship. I am embarrassed for SLC that this censorship happened. Abuse and bad language happens in Mormon homes too..I believe they have some "unfinished " business to attend to with an apology and another invite!!
