What a thrill to read of the sale of the Book of Mormon signed by Orson Pratt. Dennison Root, the "owner" is my 3rd great grandfather (and Phebe Hale). Part of the thrill is that there is so precious little information about him. I had guessed that they were neighbors since the Roots lived in Harmony during the time the Joseph Smith was engaged in the translation of the book. I would love to have the opportunity to see the book if the chance ever came my way.
