I think atv's sould be street legal. With gass prices as high as there are
its a no-braner. There safe stable and fun and offer a allternative to
motorcycels, i am currenty looking in to making a quad street legal in my
state.I ride a kawasaki kfx 700, last weekend I got it out on the four lane hwy.
It was a blast and made me even more sure about the idea. I had such a blast i
might do it agian this weekend and remember it aint ilegal unless you get
coaght!

I also agree Atv's should be made street legal. Gas prices are through the
roof. I drive about one mile to work. the wear and tare on the vehicle
extensive. not to mention since the vehicle rarely get fully warmed up in that
time it polluting more than ant ATV would. I live in wiscsconsin and if it ever
comes to pass, I will be the first in line.

In florida motorcycle riders are not required to wear helmets, but ATVs are not
allowed in streets,it does not make sense. In my last trip to Costa Rica ,I saw
people riding in the streets, maybe this is why so many americans go
there.FREEDOM!!!!!!

I think we should be able to ride atv's on streets. If you are responsible
rider you should not have any problem with insurance prices increasing. This
would certainly help with the gas prices we are facing.

My quad is 4 foot wide and 8 feet long....it's only slightly smaller than
the "smart car" and it is made for two passengers. It's a lot
more stable than a cycle..I haven't had to put not one foot down on the
ground to keep it from falling over as of yet, and it has two headlights. I
don't think they should be on an interstate but to ride on the streets and
byways shouldn't be an issue. It's the same size engine as a
cycle...just has two more wheels. The only thing stopping legalization is the
darn stereotyping of ATV riders. I see people riding cycles without a license
all the time down our roads..yes there are a few yahoos that ride like idiots
but they ride their cycles the same way....
