I consider my vehicle to some degree an extension of my home. During the day while I am at work that is the one spot that is mine. I can listen to any radio station, I keep all of the equipment for my various hobbies in my car, and I don't see why my keeping a firearm in my car hurts anybody else. I agree with Madsen when he says banning a person from keeping a gun in his car at work affects him more than just at work. It affects him everywhere he goes on the way to work and any where he may go on the way home.

If we want to protect private property rights why not start with the piece of property that nearly every Utahn has to ride in every single day. The automobile is the only personal space I have during the work day.
