I think vouchers for private schools could work if the money that it costs, per year, per student from the tax payer and state be used per student without limit to family earnings. Why make it any different than it already is? It is estimated that it cost the state about $3,000 to $4,000 per student per year. That's what a all students who chose private schools should get. Every student gets the same amount. That's how it works in the public sector. Why change it? If you want to have your child go to private school, that's great. It's also up to you to make sure that private school meets certain standards you expect from them. Don't use the excuse that there are no standards. You are the parent and the CEO of your family. You do the home work. Public schools are not working well as they are. The pay for the teachers is terrible. Student scores are falling. What else is there to do but make sure they get the proper education with the money they already have set aside for them within the public schools? Who is really failing the system here? Not the students. I live in Wisconsin. My taxes are $4,000.00. We pay for our schools and good education. Check out how good our public schools are. Make a difference. Pay for good teachers and get "Great Education".........
The problem isn't getting school vouchers. It's raising the standards in our schools to make them better. If that happens, who would even consider the vouchers?
