Officials split on teacher gun class

I was looking for information regarding the Oregon teacher's lawsuit to be able to carry her weapon to school and came across this article. I'm completely shocked that here in Utah teachers can carry guns to school. Not only can they carry guns but they don't have to tell anyone that they are. Doesn't anyone see this as a problem?
