They eat horses, don't they?

There are people in the world who think horse meat is a rare delicacy. Who is
anybody to say that they are wrong? There are religions that believe the cow is
sacred and shouldnt be eaten too. Just because Americans dont eat horse doesnt
mean that other countries cant. Its a choice that each person should be able to
make for themselves. Would you rather all the horses were turned out in the
wild and died of starvation because they dont know how to live in the wild??
Not to mention that wild predators and scavengers would feast on them. Who
cares who eats them? Lets give them a humane death!!

I find it real interesting that this article specifically mentions the cruelty
of the killing methods. Folks who are horrified at the stunner bolt should watch
a video or two of stunners being used on cows or pigs, and notice the quite
alarmed animals hanging from their legs and bleeding as they expire. Check out
"Our Daily Bread" if you want to see where your food comes from. I
think that these elected officials are playing this as a "heart
strings" vote, and I for one am not impressed.

When an animal is old, unable to chew, untrainable, aggressive or otherwise not
useful to humans, why keep them alive and suffering {dying a slow death from
starvation} or in the case of the aggressive ones, possibly hurting someone?
No, we shouldn't slaughter our pets and eat them but if some one has a use
for an otherwise useless animal then let that animal serve it's purpose on
earth and be someone's dinner.
