New driving rules take effect today

The Graduated Driver's License is one of the better laws that we have. Teen drivers need to become more experienced before they are allowed to drive at any time of the day, and they need to gain this experience with as little distractions as possible. A teen driver who is driving with friends will not be as careful as they would if they were driving on their own. Not only do friends provide the driver with more distractions, but a teen driver will tend to do stupid stuff to show off to their friends. The GDL helps to ensure the safety of the driver, any passengers, and anybody else that is on the road.
