Geesh! This is dumb. Some think porno is artistic but I don't. I won't go to movies anymore. I have to preview everything before my kids watch it, because it is so filthy. Even Disney, in G-rated shows has so many nasty innuendos it is ridiculous. Why do these so-called movie artists care if someone wants to cut a nude scene? Won't they make more money than not seeing it at all? When will we begin to clean up this planet of all the filth for our children?

This has nothing to do with thought Police! We have to protect our children! It is also in the constitution of freedom of speech and thought. So if I think that something is not suitable for me or my children then I should be allowed to get rid of it...
FYI It has nothing to do with age either I'm 23 and have that opinion.

I cannot believe that it is ok for TV to edit and reformat movies for the censors, but, I can't rent movies that are censored for my family's entertainment. What a bunch of morons. So, only if I allow you to pollute my mind, can I watch the filth that Hollywood produces.

Movie producers should take a hint. There is a vast potential audience that they are losing because we will not watch their offensive movies. Art can be clean; if you don't think so, it is because you aren't clean anymore. I won't be like that. Cinema is the 7th art and who would have thought of changing Mona Lisa's smile or veiled some nudes on Monet's paintings????????
A healthy movie-addict

I agree that there's a large market for edited films in this country but, I've been a movie-goer for nearly two decades and have never had a problem with any of it. Perhaps my viewpoint differs from those of you who have children, as I do not; or perhaps I'm a lot more open-minded and unconcerned about such things. I was in the Military and I've seen situations far worse than those portrayed on the big screen. I even grew up watching such things myself. At the age of 12 my parents considered me mature enough for R rated films, and I turned out OK.

It's utterly appalling. I see where they're coming from, they want to appreciate the story without the extra stuff, but everything else, the language sex and violence are what makes films more realistic. You can't have watch saving private ryan without graphic battle scenes, you can't watch Pulp Fiction without the language, because its not their style. I mean, its like telling Rambo to act like Barney. Completely unethical.

I wish the studios would wise up and produce two versions of the children's movies when they come out on video. If you want the cussing, violence, and sex buy that one, but those of us who want G rated films should have the opportunity to buy a sanitized version too. Let the free market determine if there is a market for the sanitized films. It should be up to me if I want to buy a sanitized DVD or not. The liberal thought police should be encouraging freedom of choice. If I want to pay for a sanitized Pulp Fiction that should be my choice. I'm not saying those who want the more "colorful language" shouldn't have it available to them. If the studios don't want to offer sanitized films themselves then license firms like CleanFlicks to do. I want sanitized movies to show to my children and those that come to visit my house.
