This was a very awesome story. I am devastaed for this family and all they've been through, but so happy that they are strong enough to really see the smaller blessings in life. God Bless.

I read your story and I am amazed by your courage and strength, I will remember your story the days I feel down and depressed. I am an above the knee amputee due to having a total knee replacement while being treated for strep throat, i had Strep A and chronic Osteomyletis that i fought for almost a year before losing my leg. I know God is with you and your family and your story has given me amazing strength and taught me to be thankful for each precious day and for my family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, keep fighting the good fight.

I went to Hight School with Lisa, we were friends. It does not suprise me how strong her will is!! She was like that in High School. She still has that wonderful spirit!

Lisa, Hi! This is Lexi's grandma from Lily's preschool. Since meeting you about two weeks ago, I have shared what I knew about your story from you with my family and a few friends. I was so touched by your incredible spirit and zest for life. A friend said, "I've heard that story. I remember it was in the newspaper awhile back." I have spent hours trying to find this article online because I feel so drawn to you (I never thought to just Google your name!) Our first conversation seemed to come so easy, and when you became emotional for a minute while talking about your girls my motherly instincts made me want to just take you in my arms. I have daughters not much younger than you. In just those few moments talking, and seeing you at school since has taught me so much about life and reminded me how precious it is...thank you! I am sure you have been an inspiration to many, as I am sure your sweet husband must be, also. I am so glad to know you! Please call me anytime for whatever, and lets get the girls together. Love,LaVern

Lisa, I don't know if you remember me from good old St. Mike's but I only recently heard your story and wanted to say hello. You may get tired of being called an inspiration, but...you are. I'm still in Orland Park and all three of my kids have long graduated from St. Mike's. The pictures I have seen of your family are beautiful. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Be well. Jean

Lisa, if you still get notes here, I would like to talk to you. It is March 2, 2010 and your story is my sister Katy's story. This is what she/we has lived since 4 days after my nieces birth beginning on Valentines day. (2 weeks ago) I was sent this link from someone at RIC in Chicago. Peacde, Jennifer
