yes, life IS an amazing thing. but there are an estimated 6,602,224,175 [as of July 07] AMAZING lives in this world. why should that number keep going up? babies are cute. children are endearing. but people grow up. people get old. people COST MONEY. i love children, don't get me wrong. but i have NEVER EVER felt the motherly vibe. i love being childless. i have two dogs, whom i spoil to death. they are my "babies". i don't need HUMAN babies. for me and my husband, children WOULD be a burden.

Think About It, you have apparently discovered something about children that the rest of the world has yet to uncover. That they make life wonderful and that they are not a burden.

Perhaps you should write a book and share this new found information with all the folk whose lives have been torn apart and ruined as a result of having children when they had no clue what responsibilities were involved. And include a chapter for the children of these parents as well so they can reap the benefits of your knowledge.

Certainly if children make life wonderful and are not a burden, it would stand to reason that parents make life wonderful and are not a burden either. Many children are desperate to know how this can be so and would benefit greatly from your wisdom and knowledge.

Please save society from its woes and find a way to get your message out! Think of the sad family situations to which you could bring swift remedy. And all that is required is to understand the simple knowledge that children make life wonderful and are not a burden. What ground breaking, profound insight you possess. I stand in awe.

THink about it: Have you seen the statistics on MARITAL SATISFACTION? Guess what, all evidence points to the fact that married couples are by and large more satisfied and happier than their childed counterparts. In addition, WOMEN who are CHILDFREE are MUCH MORE happy than their childed counterparts. SO, please tell me, what is your evidence that having children is such a great thing for people? THe evidence does not support it. Look up some sociological research on marital satisfaction, and your eyes will be opened.

Why the current obsession in this country with having children? Seriously can anyone tell Me? What is the difference if women do or do not have children? It is not for people to judge. Perhaps we should just treat each other as human beings. Are there not more important issues out there? There are starving people in the world! Why does the media and society go on and on about the same topics????!!! Time to move on.

This is a sure sign of modern society's degeneration. There was a time in this Country when members of the public were generous, thoughtful, and willing to sacrifice for the good of others and society as a whole. Now, too many think only of themselves and are too selfish and greedy to have children. If everyone begins to act in this selfish manner, this Country will cease to remain great.

I guess some people will always opt not to have children. Some people can't have children for physical reasons. This doesn't mean they are selfish! I have known some people without children who were selfless and some people with children who were very selfish. Was mother Theresa selfish? Is a nun selfish? These people didn't have children. What new form of prejudice is this? Is it really much different than judging someone by the color of their skin?
