I live in Utah and will miss this ship. I've always liked the I688's and don't really want to see them go. Call me old fashioned, but I think many of our good weapons are being sent away before their time for "pie in the sky." Replacements that probably cannot do the same job as well or better.

Anyway, I've seen the SLC and found her beautiful. Goodbye girl, sleep well.

i served on board this boat, and am deeply saddened when i think about it being "scrapped". though it wasn't always fun, it was my home for several years. i guess all good things come to an end.
