I read this today and maybe you will not see the comment. I think you find all kinds of people in church and some will be provoked by discussions they cannot understand, In the right groups there would be no such fear of discussion, but obviously not in the actual church unless the lessons are related. My advise, if you are intelligent get yourself some intelligent friends in church! There you can speak about all and without fear of being misunderstood. I do not understand, however, why you place such importance on this question. The poor BOM cannot take the blame for whoever comments without reason or insight, it is not in the book the problem lies, but hurried decisions by all to comment about a sensitive issue which science yet ahas not questioned for long , nor found really much evidence in.
