He was a relative of mine--not a direct ancestor, but on another line of
descent. It's good to see a photo of him, I didn't know that one
existed.

Dear Joe: While looking up (Hurlbuts) in the revolution, I accidently found
Daniel Spencer.Daniel was at (the Flockie) in Schoharie, New York, to capture
Adam Crysler an important Loyalist.The troop of horse(Americans) had 9 horses
hit , three people wounded and Lt.Wirt, was killed.As I am related to Phillip,
Adams brother..and with willhelm and John (brothers)and Adams friends, they
received a warm welcome.There is no account of Adams forces being hurt, however
the Americans(patriots) called it a Victory. Nice to see a picture of a
participant. pete
