I don't believe it would be that harmful for such young youth's eyes or imagination really. You have to think about the basics of back in the day maturity, we have a better way for the younger generations to learn of the opposite and/or same sex. Its expanding their thoughts and letting them have an openmind about what they may have in mind. I do however agree that they need to have them blocked, how easy it is to get into these sites are ridiculous. If you're a minor with an unfed appetite for some endorfines of course you're going to click that yes, you are 18 years or older! I think there could be better ways to block these sites, even if it angers others. I understand theres no way you can stop all sites from being seen, but at least we could put forth more of an effort. I hardly think anyone seriously thinks about this other than highly modest and overly hormonal youth and guardians.

Requiring an ISP to block "harmful content" would cause more problems than people seem to realize. Your average library has all kind of programs to protect against "harmful" content but it isn't perfect. On more than one occasion I have tried to view my own website at a library, and see it marked as "Pornographic" when there is no such content on it. And more often, my e-mail gets marked as "Pornographic" because my spam folder of course gets porn in it like anyone else. So I have to go to the librarian, explain the problem, get them to fix it repeatedly before a tech can come and add it to an allow list.

What this means, overall, is that there could literally be hundreds upon thousands of safe sites marked as unsafe incorrectly. Disrupting legit buisness practices, and causing ISPs to more complaints than they can afford to handle.

And "harmful" is rather vague. Harmful, by whose perception? Apparently, only nude images tend to be considered harmful, voilent images are allowed as culturally accepted. Makes me wonder how this affects our children. Sex/Reproduction=Bad, Voilence/Death=Good?

But hey, harmful is different depending who you ask. Isn't that important to consider?
