i think that the story was wonderful and I was wondering how elizaberh was doing and now I know Im proud to say that she so brave and Im glade she is doing well and that her parent also are doing well good luck and god bless your family ps I live in wash and do not hear much about utah keep up the good work donna leckenby everett washington

I'm so amazed how this beautiful brave young lady got through this horrible ordeal,God Bless You & your family Elizabeth smart.

Ms Smart just popped up in the news again (Oct 1 2009). She's testifying against Mr. Mitchell and he's still pretending he's unfit to stand trial.
I was 11 at the time of her kidnapping and I remember seeing a poster of her while shopping in SLC with my family (we're Utah County folks).
Now she's 21 and a BYU music major. All my uncles and aunts went there. :)
Regarding the article, she is exceptionally beautiful, perhaps even more so than when this story was published.

She is beautiful and deserves the recognition and I hope she has a fabulous career.
