Scoliosis: What treatments may lie ahead?

I think it's amazing what they are finding out about scoliosis and the new treatments. I believe strongly in the genetic helps for it also, as I had a fusion of 12 vertebrae when I was 12, 41years ago, both my sisters also had scoliosis, one badly enough for surgery, but refused to have it; the other just wore a brace.
It may be long recovery and complicated but not nearly like it used to be. I had the Milwaukee brace for nine months, then body casts for 4 months, the surgery (at Primary Childrens), three months in bed, then six more months in a plastic brace. Back then, we had to wear the Milwaukee brace for 23 hours per day, had our choice of how to use the 1 hour per day. Good luck to the researchers!
