It's been a long day. I needed be uplited so I turned on the BYU Channel and your fireside was just beginning. I actually didn't catch you being introduced but what followed truly gave me the lift I needed. I wanted to learn more about you so I googled your name and this is one of the sites that came up. Thank you for sharing!!! You and your family ARE an inspiration.
Years ago I stopped caring about and watching Pro-Basketball because of our local Portland team, the Jail-Blazers, but, even they seem to have turned over a new leaf lately and I seem to be cheering for them. I want to care. I want to cheer, but, I long to cheer for righteousness and goodness not just winning.
Well, I am cheering for you. The journey is so hard sometimes and I pray, oh how I pray, that you and I can stay the course, endure the flames and come out brighter. We need you so much! Your spoken word, your music, your light and love are like manna to a starving world. May you be blessed in your efforts. KNOW that I am cheering for you!

I just saw you giving the opening prayer at the Republican convention. When I heard your beautiful prayer, I thought you sounded LDS, so I googled your name and sure enough this article came up. Thank you for your great example to the world in a time when it is greatly needed. I loved to hear the story about how you and your wife Sindi met and how you converted to the church. My husband is also a convert to the church, my parents also had a hard time with it, he is from Istanbul,Turkey, and your story truly inspires me. Thank you so much for you and your beautiful family's example!
Glad to see that your still the same my brother. You were a role model for me when you were at State. Thurl you always kept it positive and I and many others were blessed to have you has a teammate. May God continue to bless you and your family!
Never met you, but I am an avid basketball fan and remember your days from NC State.
It's "TeVaun" not Tevann.
Your testimony will change countless lives of young black men who think they have no hope or chance.
Keep up the great work and keep giving your testimony! This country needs many, many more young men just like you!!
Thank you!!

Thanks for meeting with me and sending me such a nice card. You truly are a gentleman. I look forward to finishing our conversation when you have a moment. You are a tremendous asset to the community. See you soon.

God bless you.
Last night I was flipping through the channels and
stopped when I saw you giving a fireside on the BYU channel. Needless to say I was very impressed with your testimony. Thank you for your genuine and sincere, and uplifting testimony.
I don't know if you are familiar with the genesis group? I would think you would be since you live in SLC. Anyway,to make a long story short I believe you would be interested in the DVD by Marvin Perkins Blacks and the Scriptures... anyway it is excelent and I believe you would find it amazing because it answers a lot of questions about blacks and the priesthood. You may already have viewed it, but I felt impressed to thank you for sharing your testimony of the gospel and hope you will view the DVD if you haven't already. Thank you for being an instrument of God and for encouraging all people to live the gospel.

I FOUND THE STORY ON YOUR "WONDERFUL LIFE" TO BE VERY INTERESTING AND MOVING. YOU MAKE ME PROUD TO BE YOUR UNCLE(BY MARRIAGE). YOU HAVE ALWAYS INSPIRED TO BE THE BEST THAT YOU COULD BE, PLUS A LITTLE BIT MORE.
IT IS TRULY A BLESSING TO SEE AND HEAR OF YOUR PAST AND PRESENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS. CONTINUE YOUR WORK WITH THE CHURCH AND YOUR MANY OTHER FUNCTIONS, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND THE FAMILY.
ME AND THE FAMILY SEEM TO HAVE DRIFTED APART, BUT I STILL GET A CHRISTMAS CARD FROM YOUR SISTERS EVERY YEAR.
LOOKING TO HEAR FROM OR SEE YOU SOON.
I LOVE YOU,
UNCLE MILES
