I'm sure this guy will enjoy losing year after year in the Vegas Bowl and in the off-season he can enjoy watching the basketball team lose in the first round of the NCAA Tourny year after yer.

Uconn, New Hampshire, Northeaster and Bryant University? You mean a kid actually spurns offers from these schools to join Bronco in Provo? Wow, what a coup this was.

Brandon Bradley is 6 feet tall. He will fare well against the Sooners receivers. With one year of experience under his belt, we can expect him to be a shutdown corner in key situations during conference play. Will he get burnt during the season? Most likely but every corner gives up a big play, even the best of them. He may bend a little but he won't break. He has excellent closing speed and nice athleticism. My concern in the secondary is only one thing. Who will be the Cougs cornerback on the other side? Scott Johnson is a safety now with Andrew Rich and I like both of them a lot at that position. Our linebackers have to step it up and have a huge year. We know Jan and Brett will do their part but what about the interior D-line? Interior D-line is the most unsettling thing right now but it will work out somehow. This Jordan should be a very nice addition. Great athletic ability. Wolfley at nose guard and hopefully the rumor of Tialaveia postponing his mission to Jan/Feb will help out a lot. Go Cougs!!!!
Why, oh why? | 9:25 p.m. Jul. 2, 2009
Why, or why can't we find a corner taller than my 8 year old brother??!! It will never happen cougar fans.
I'm more concerned that we have | 8:45 p.m. Jul. 2, 2009
never had a 7' quarterback. Why can't BYU have a quarterback that is 7' tall and a potential U.S. Diplomat after his playing days are over? By the way 5:39 post, there aren't many teams that have corners over 6' and BYU cb Brandon Bradley happens to be one of the few.

I love it when someone can turn good news into bad so quickly.
Tall corners | 6:03 p.m. Jul. 2, 2009
Height really isn't all that common at the corner spot to be honest with you. Sean Smith was a rare exception but he is a freak of nature at 6'4". Most corners that I've been aware of aren't taller than 6'0" they are usually between 5'10" and 6'0".

Height does help a little. But more important than height is also a good vertical leap to block or intercept passes. The corners may be short, but they're athletic, so who cares? Justin Robinson wasn't tall and he did exceptional in the Oregon game against much taller receivers, and same with Cole Miyahira who subbed in for Ben Criddle in that game. Plus don't count out our safties. Andrew Rich is the tallest and he will be starting. I think one of the big keys will be taking advantage of an inexperienced O-line, bringing pressure with the pass rush, and the DB's will hold their own out there.
Any tall corners out there? | 5:39 p.m. Jul. 2, 2009
Will BYU ever get any corners that are at least 6 feet tall? The OK pre-game hype that has already appeared on their internet site trumpets the fact that BYU's DBs are all short and the Sooners shouldn't have too much trouble establishing a successful passing attack.
