The lone field goal

If you'd think that a 3-0 game wouldn't provide many highlight plays, you'd be right. Utah kicker Bryan Borreson booted a 41-yard field goal with 4:13 left in the first half for the only score of the game. It was a miserable day weather-wise and for offensive production on both sides of the football. Utah was held to 220 yards of total offense while BYU was held to 153 yards in its first shutout since 1975. The win secured Utah its first outright conference title since 1957.
