#1 got paid over $1.7 million per hour. Are the Owners being suckered here..., or the fans?? I'm not going to any more Jazz games. If this isn't a travesty about the true worth of a person, what is?
To toosmartforyou:
You made a valid point about Rashard Lewis being so grossly overpaid by the Washington Wizzards. Then you state you won't be going to any more Jazz games. What does one have to do with the other? The Jazz don't have any players on this list of overpaid players. In fact, relative to NBA standards, the Jazz do quite well with their salaries. Are their players overpaid compared to what the rest of us make? Yes, of course they are. Almost all professional athletes are... at least compared to the average wage earner. But in a free, capitalistic society, the law of supply and demand determines how much things cost... including NBA players. The ones on this list are more of the result of the stupidity of their teams' owners. But don't take that out on the Jazz.
Based on NBA standards, the Jazz do very well with their salary structure. They get more bang for the buck than almost all other teams. On top of that, considering the youth of their team, the future is looking very bright. When you see something that makes you jealous, try to keep it all in context.
The hardest part about making a list of the 10 most overpaid NBA players? Picking just 10.
