The female blogger population in the U.S. is a growing demographic. Women blog on a wide variety of topics — finances, parenting, crafts and daily life activities — and some are very successful at it.
According to a national survey, 14 percent of all American women with at least one child in their household blog about parenting or turn to blogs for advice.
Popularly referred to by others as "mommy bloggers," some have received national recognition, book deals, speaking engagements, financial independence and even more time to write and be at home.
