Top heroes of 2010

There is NOBODY who suggests anything other than a "humane" approach toward the ILLEGAL ALIENS among us: whether they be poor or not.

There is nothing inhumane about expecting people to obey our laws. In fact, merely requiring that the law breaking end, that those here illegally return to their land of nativity without any criminal penalties nor future disability toward legally immigrating here is a very generous position. It is compassionate and humane.

Indeed, anyone stopped for speeding, or charged with failure to pay required taxes would be thrilled to be let off with nothing more than an end to unlawful conduct. "Slow down, don't speed" or "Start paying your taxes" with no penalty is a very lenient response.

If people want amnesty, even a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, have the honesty, integrity, and courage to say so. Stop with the Orwellian NewSpeak.

Efforts to encourage self-deportation or to deport those who won't leave, are compassionate and humane.

Thankyou for pointing out Walden Media. I'm always looking for family friendly movies and wasn't aware that they have so many of them that my family and I haven't seen yet.

I'm surprised the Snooze didn't award themselves as hero for their efforts as chief propogandist for amnesty and illegal immigration. And this is the first time I've heard mentioned the concern with illegals' poverty. I thought their encouraging of lawlessness and turning a blind eye was about compassion and helping families stay together.

I'm also surprised the Snooze didn't name Mark Willes as hero of 2010 for his shaking up the Snooze and moving it a new direction (code for laying off a lot of employees and further cheapening the dwindling paper).

The Father has my respect. I dislike the Catholic church because it is so controlling, even trying to make married couples feel guilty about having relations when they are not ready to have a child.

However this tradition is thousands of years old, not the fault of the Father. He has stood up for the downtrodden and underclass and for this he has my respect.

Bishop Wester is a good man. I don't no where you get your info from. The Catholic Church isn't controlling, and I have never heard them say anything about not to have relations with your wife unless you're making a baby. Get you facts straight. Just because you may have heard that from someone, doesn't make it doctrine.

Bishop Wester speaks up for what's right, and is an awesome leader for us.

Elizabeth Smart is simply #1. She actually does what is right, not says what is right.

I will support the Bishop and his amnesty quest as soon as he and the Catholic Church write a check for the millions of dollars they cost us each year. Not holding my breath that it will ever happen.

The Catholic church has the same platform as the LDS church. Follow the laws, and a country has the right to secure their border.
