Haloti Ngata (6-4, 308), DT Next » 1 of 19 « Prev
Highland HS, 2002

Ngata was rated as a five-star prospect by all services and as the No. 1-rated defensive tackle prospect nationally while had him at No. 2. He signed with Oregon.

If I'm not mistaken, Alex Cate was a higher-rated (if not, very similarly-rated) QB than Lark, and signed with LSU before transferring to Oklahoma State.

Highland, UT

Lt's see....8 signed with BYU and 2 for utah. This is not what utah "fans" keep telling us is happening.

Pac 12 Fever
Salt Lake City, UT

Many great players.

Others from the great PAC12...Missing is also Ricky Hemuli from Brighton that starts NG for Oregon (ranked top 10 in 2010 class)...and Stanford QB Dallas Lloyd ranked 15th nationally by and 17th dual threat QB by Rivals.

Goes to show that players are going to Alabama, USC, Stanford, LSU, Oregon, as well as USU, Utah and BYU. If you are talented, they will find you. Utah HS football,is getting better and better.

Duckhunter, obviously Y-homer Gurney is going to remember every single one of these guys that signed with BYU, and forget half of the ones that went elsewhere. If he's putting Lark in there (Rivals rating 5.5), then all of these are equal, if not better: Dave Kruger (4 star, Rivals rating 5.8, 25th ranked DT), Joe Kruger (Rivals rating 5.7, 23rd ranked DE, 10 offers). Griff Robles (Rivals rating 5.7, 12th ranked QB), or -- I know you'll love this one -- Chase Hansen (4 star, Rivals rating 5.8, 20th ranked ATH). Let's see, that balances it, so I'll stop there to make it appear more equal.

Oops, I miscounted, I'll keep going: Sausan Shakerin (Rivals rating 5.5, 9th ranked FB, 6 offers), Isaac Asiata (Rivals rating 5.7, 26th ranked OG).

South Jordan, UT

Isn't this a funny article. Picking and choosing who to place in it. Since BYU gets all the blue chip athletes from Utah, should we now make the following assumptions: BYU is dominating Utah on the field? BYU has better recruiting classes than Utah? Most BYU fans would not switch places with Utah right now?

Washington, UT

So far neither BYU nor Utah has landed one of 2013 top 4.

Cooper Bateman (Rivals #4 QB)
Logan Stott (Rivals #8 guard)
Lowell Lotulelei (Rivals #14 D tackle)
Sean Barton (Rivals #22 safety)

Bateman committed to Alabama (after one visit), Stott to Arizona (Robert Anae recruited him), and the other two are still sitting on offers, including offers from Utah and BYU.

St. George, UT

Here is another recently forgotten name and position, Kolton Donovan (Pine View 2012) deep snapper for Southern Utah University. He was ranked 3rd in the country at that position, 1st team ESPN All American, etc. I spoke with his father just recently and he is right now at a Pro Development Camp in which they only invite the top 30 college underclassman....he was invited and hasn't snapped a single college ball yet other than spring ball. Utah has a great football tradition and only getting stronger!
