Sundance isn't in Park City. Looks like Robert Redford knows Utah better than the Deseret News.

I guess no list could be exhaustive, but I was looking for Ogden native Gedde Watanabe.

I wonder how many still are LDS? Very few I imagine.

To be fair, some, if not most, were never LDS. I have never heard Roseanne Barr say anything good about her time spent in SLC.

There are so many entertainers left off this list, other than garnishing additional online hits, what was the purpose of this piece?

@milhouse: The Sundance Film Festival is indeed held in Park City. Sundance ski resort is not in Park City.

Growing up in California, I don't recall ever reading an article about actors with ties to California. Are there some identity issues with Utahns? Thus the need to escape anonymity through YouTube videos. I recommend a little gratitude for your Mayberry-like communities and getting over this yearning for acknowledgement by Hollyweird.

Maybe she can introduce Brad Pitt to the BYU Creamery or mix him up a nice hot cup of Mormon Coffee (Postum).

@ MapleDon- "Growing up in California, I don't recall ever reading an article about actors with ties to California. Are there some identity issues with Utahns?" Yes, Utahns want to be accepted as normal... Kind of like Arizona.

you forgot Matthew Avery Modine was born in Loma Linda, California and grew up in Utah.

The list of actors who have lived or do live in Utah is actually quite long, but some obvious omissions would be Julianne Hough, Loretta Young, Tony Geary, James Morrison and Merlin Olsen. Add Tony Danza, Bill Murray and Cheech Marin if you count vacation homes (I'm sure there are more, but who can keep track?).
