Top 20 states with the most guns in 2012

State public safety administrators are skeptical over a new analysis that ranks Utah as the second most-armed state in the nation.
The report from The Daily Beast places the Beehive state second only to Kentucky as the most-armed. The analysis takes into account federal background check applications related to gun sales and permits over the past 18 months.

Where's Nevada? Oh, that's right--you don't need an NICS if you have a CCW in Nevada (issued after July 2011).
And, let's see. Kentucky had a population of about 4.4 million in 2011, with 3.5 million of them applying for a gun purchase since Sep 2010. Seriously?
There are a lot of questions left unaddressed and unanswered in this article.
