State public safety administrators are skeptical over a new analysis that ranks Utah as the second most-armed state in the nation. The report from The Daily Beast places the Beehive state second only to Kentucky as the most-armed. The analysis takes into account federal background check applications related to gun sales and permits over the past 18 months. Click here to read the full article. Where's Nevada? Oh, that's right--you don't need an NICS if you have a CCW in Nevada (issued after July 2011).

And, let's see. Kentucky had a population of about 4.4 million in 2011, with 3.5 million of them applying for a gun purchase since Sep 2010. Seriously?
