It took a little more than 2 years (Gate's comment about spam), but Google mail handles almost 100% of the spam sent to my account. I don't really have any spam problems now, but I am still extremely vigilant and never clink on a link unless I (1) know the sender and (2) ensure that the message is real and not due to a virus sending email from the sender's account (easy to tell since the message is almost always very vague). In over twenty years on the Internet and 40 years sending email, I have never been infected (as I type this, I am tapping rapidly and solidly on my noggin, which is made from very hard wood).
