How much will you likely earn by attending a Utah or Idaho college?

How about a study on post graduate from each school? DN propoganda for BYU?

And how does this compare to NOT attending college? Much better.

IndeMak: BYU has the Law School, business and Accounting programs, but still lacks in Masters and PhD level programs when compared to the "U." It's quite amazing how many professionals have a bachelors from one school and a masters from the other. Academically you'll see much more BYU/Utah than Utah State/Utah.

Utah still is a tier 1 research school, BYU clearly is a tier 2 (big non-medical professional programs in Law & Business), and Utah State is along with Weber and Utah Valley another tier 3 institution.

Wow, by the numbers, Utah ranks a whopping 181 spots below BYU in mid-career median salaries. That's pretty significant in what I would say is a pretty important factor.

Were would BYU-Idaho come in at?

Turns out Lenny Gomes was right about Utah fans pumping his gas ... if he, uh, was willing to pay them $70 grand for the privilege.

This is only mildly interesting. Many factors, including the field you choose, geographical location, graduate degrees, etc. have more impact on salary than the undergrad institution you attended.

My guesss - many more BYU grads end up in California than do Utah grads. California salaries are significantly higher (as is the cost of living) for the same jobs.

You are probably right about the California thing. This is really just an interesting side note; it doesn't really say anything either way.

These numbers aren't controlled by what the graduates are doing or where they are living. It is completely meaningless. I always like to see BYU first, but I sure hope a BYU graduate didn't write it.
