With an LDS Account, members can have a more personalized experience and interactive study of the gospel.

Many church websites, especially, allow you to sign in with your LDS account. When you sign in, the website can deliver more personalized information to you.

"Without an LDS Account, you're missing a huge part of the online church experience," said Tom Johnson, a technical writer for the Church. Some sites using LDS Account include, Calendar, Directory, Maps, YW Personal Progress and Duty to God.

To sign up for an LDS Account, go to and click "Register for an LDS Account." The full sign-up process requires you to know your membership record number (MRN). You can find your MRN on your Individual Ordinance Summary (available from your ward clerk), or on your temple recommend. If you don't know your MRN, you can still register for an LDS Account, but your access will be limited until you add it.

I didn't know about 6-9 and I visit the site fairly frequently. I have the Gospel Library app on my android phone and now my Kindle Fire. I love this great tool. I make more notes, highlight more, and read more than I ever have before now. I love that the Gospel Library app now syncs with the my study notebook account. Wonderful tools!

I also learned about OpenDns on the site (or maybe the blog of one of the head tech guys?) and I constantly find myself learning of new tools, options, ideas, and wonderful gifts from the Church and these services. Social networking 'connects' people to each other but encourages more worldly things in our lives than anything else. Well, the Church website connects members with effective ways to share what we can do to help each other, help ourselves, and enrich our lives. I couldn't be more pleased with these services.

Some great work for a great work. Keep it up guys! You're really helping people like me out more than I could possibly express on here.

Thanks again for publishing this article in this section. You have done so much for getting the word out and this type of article should be a topic for General Conference or at least a blip in the editions of the Church Magazines and the family home evening resource publications. The ability the world has now to access from their various devices, newspapers, magazines, television and radio and especially online with all these addresses. The hard part will be to keep the other side from using it and twisting it to deceive those that are truely seeking the light. Thanks for doing all you can to help us keep our compass aligned and headed in the right direction. There are so many sources and the DN is focused in the right direction. I and my family appreciate your service for us.

Perfect info for my Leadership Training Meeting tonight!! Woohoo! Thanks, DesNews!
