Carl Monroe was terrific. He had a stellar NFL career as well. With 131 yards rushing on Friday, White will be the all time single season record holder for rushing yards in a season at Utah.
I pulling for White to be able to set the record. He has been fantastic and exciting to watch.
I remember all of these backs except Monroe and Rodgers. I suppose that is as it should be as I was a missionary during those two seasons.
For Ganther, I think you meant the Fiesta Bowl victory over Pittsburgh and not the Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama.
Finally, I have worked with Marines for a couple of decades now and I am sure they would tell you either that there are "no former Marines" or that the "only former Marine is Lee Harvey Oswald." "Once a Marine, always a Marine" they say. And that would apply to Mike Anderson as well.
What stuck out to me was that Darrell Mack reached 1200 yards while his best game was for only 163 yards. That is some great grind-it-out type of consistency that you know you can rely on a guy to have the game you need him to have.
