Some 20 Utes saw their first action in this game... Freshmen, Red Shirt Freshmen, Transfers, etc.

That is why almost all Major Conference teams schedule one game against an FCS opponent. That plus it gives the other team's players a chance against a major opponent. Also it's likely a W.

Yes, that's all well and good but look at who the victories were against. ID St, Weber State, So Dakota, UC Davis. Fresno State was probably the best win and they stink. Although Arizona's win was impressive even though UNLV stinks...that may be a tougher game than I thought for Utah even at home.

And losing to Rutgers and Colorado State doesn't exactly bode well for WSU & Colorado...loss at USC doesn't really count because Utah plays both USC & Fresno so cancels each other out.

The only thing about your post that i disagree with is your point about CSU. I think the Rams have a decent shot to win the MWC this season. They are a pretty decent team
