The final week of the preseason is here, which means it's time to give those players fighting for a spot on the 53-man active roster one final audition.

All games take place Thursday, giving teams a chance to evaluate their needs before Saturday's 2 p.m. MDT deadline to trim their rosters from 75 to 53 players.

During the first round of cuts this week, 14 players with Utah ties were released, while one, Utah's Joe Kruger, already joined another team. How many more locals will be on the chopping block this weekend?

For this week's preseason viewer's guide, I make my predictions of which local players will get cut. These players are indicated by a ** on the roster lists.

Here's a game-by-game look at Week 4 of the NFL preseason and which local ties to watch for this weekend (rookies are noted):

Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars

Thursday, 4 p.m., no TV

On the Falcons roster:

Paul Soliai, DT, Utah

Pat McQuistan, OL, Weber State

On the Jaguars roster:

Zane Beadles, G, Utah and Hillcrest High

**D.J. Tialavea, TE, Utah State and West Jordan High (rookie)

Of note: Tialavea has gotten his share of work during the preseason; a solid game Thursday could help his cause, as it appears Tialavea is fighting fellow tight end Brandon Barden for a spot.

Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills

Thursday, 5 p.m., no TV

On the Lions roster:

Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU

Nevin Lawson, CB, Utah State (rookie)

Kyle Van Noy, LB, BYU (rookie)

On the Bills roster:

Of note: Late last week, Van Noy told reporters he was dealing with an injury and feared it could be a sports hernia. According to the Detroit Free Press, Van Noy will see a specialist.

Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals

Thursday, 5 p.m., no TV

On the Colts roster:

Stanley Havili, FB, Cottonwood High

On the Bengals roster:

Of note: Havili was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list earlier this week.

Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers

Thursday, 5 p.m., no TV

On the Chiefs roster:

Alex Smith, QB, Utah

Sean Smith, CB, Utah

Daniel Sorensen, S, BYU (rookie)

On the Packers roster:

Jarrett Bush, CB, Utah State

**Jake Doughty, LB, Utah State and Juan Diego High (rookie)

Of note: Sorensen, who signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, appears to have earned a spot on the 53-man roster after starting for an injured Eric Berry in all three of the Chiefs' preseason games. A strong game against the Packers could help bolster his position.

St. Louis Rams at Miami Dolphins

Thursday, 5 p.m., no TV

On the Rams roster:

Maurice Alexander, S, Utah State (rookie)

On the Dolphins roster:

Sam Brenner, C, Utah

Will Davis, CB, Utah State

John Denney, LS, BYU

Koa Misi, LB, Utah

Derrick Shelby, DE, Utah

Of note: Alexander, though a rookie, is the backup at strong safety for the Rams, and his position on the team looks safe.

New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles

Thursday, 5 p.m., no TV

On the Jets roster:

Tevita Finau, DT, Utah

Trevor Reilly, OLB, Utah (rookie)

Caleb Schlauderaff, G, Utah

On the Eagles roster:

**Curtis Marsh, CB, Utah State

Of note: Marsh is heading into his fourth NFL season and may have helped his case last week with six tackles and a pass deflection against the Steelers.

New England Patriots at New York Giants

Thursday, 5:30 p.m., no TV

On the Patriots roster:

Jordan Devey, OL, Snow College and American Fork High

Sealver Siliga, DT, Utah and Copper Hills High

**L.T. Tuipulotu, DT, Utah (rookie)

**Eathyn Manumaleuna, DT, BYU and Timpview High (rookie)

On the Giants roster:

Dallas Reynolds, C, BYU and Timpview High

Of note: Tuipulotu and Manumaleuna have yet to make a big impact during the preseason and in practice. Devey has started each game for the Patriots, and after being a practice squad member, he is in position to fight for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Carolina Panthers at Pittsburgh Steelers

Thursday, 5:30 p.m., no TV

On the Panthers roster:

Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah, Snow College and Bingham High

On the Steelers roster:

Brett Keisel, DE, BYU and Snow College

**Brice McCain, CB, Utah

Of note: McCain joined the Steelers this offseason after five seasons with the Texans; while there is the possibility he could be cut, McCain's also currently listed as the backup at cornerback.

Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Thursday, 5:30 p.m., no TV

On the Redskins roster:

Tevita Stevens, OL, Utah

On the Buccaneers roster:

Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns

Thursday, 6 p.m., TV: NFL Network

On the Bears roster:

Stephen Paea, DT, Snow College, Timpview High

On the Browns roster:

Paul Kruger, LB, Utah and Timpanogos High

Paul McQuistan, OL, Weber State

Denver Broncos at Dallas Cowboys

Thursday, 6 p.m., no TV

On the Broncos roster:

On the Cowboys roster:

Of note: Former Southern Utah defensive lineman Cody Larsen would have been the lone Utah representative in this game, until he was wavied by the Broncos this week.

San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans

Thursday, 6 p.m., no TV

On the 49ers roster:

Will Tukuafu, FB, East High

On the Texans roster:

**Anthony Denham, TE, Utah (rookie)

Xavier Su’a-Filo, OL, Timpview High (rookie)

Of note: Denham is fighting to make the squad and has worked on special teams. Though he had a blocked punt in preseason play, he's still listed at fourth string on the depth chart at tight end, which may not be enough to stay on the active roster.

Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints

Thursday, 6 p.m., no TV

On the Ravens roster:

Haloti Ngata, DT, Highland High

**A.J. Pataiali’i, DT, Utah State, Snow College and Hunter High (rookie)

Dennis Pitta, TE, BYU

Steve Smith Sr., WR, Utah

On the Saints roster:

Of note: While Ngata, Pitta and Smith are all starters, Pataiali'i faces an uphill climb to make the final roster, with the depth the Ravens have on the defensive line.

Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans

Thursday, 6 p.m., no TV

On the Vikings roster:

Matt Asiata, RB, Utah, Snow College and Hunter High

On the Titans roster:

Of note: Asiata has been receiving first-team reps during the preseason, with the Vikings choosing to sit All-Pro Adrian Peterson.

Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders

Thursday, 8 p.m., TV: NFL Network

On the Seahawks roster:

Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State

Bobby Wagner, LB, Utah State

On the Raiders roster:

Tony Bergstrom, OL, Utah and Skyline High

**Bojay Filimoeatu, LB, Utah State and Granger High (rookie)

Keith McGill, CB, Utah (rookie)

**Jake Murphy, TE, Utah and American Fork High (rookie)

Donald Penn, T, Utah State

**Karl Williams, FB, Utah, Southern Utah and Layton High (rookie)

**Spencer Hadley, ILB, BYU (rookie)

Of note: This may be the most important game for locals, as there are five rookies on Oakland's team fighting for a roster spot. While both Filimoeatu and Murphy have had their moments during the preseason, the player with perhaps the best chance to stick on the Raiders' roster is McGill, a fourth-round draft pick.

Arizona Cardinals at San Diego Chargers

Thursday, 8 p.m., no TV

On the Cardinals roster:

On the Chargers roster:

Tenny Palepoi, DT, Utah, Snow College and Skyline High (rookie)

**Brad Sorensen, QB, Southern Utah

Eric Weddle, FS, Utah

Joe Kruger, DE, Utah and Pleasant Grove High

Of note: Kruger was waived by the Eagles on Saturday, then claimed off waivers by the Chargers, who are dealing with injuries on the defensive line, on Monday. Sorensen had a rough game against the 49ers last week, as he was sacked twice and threw two interceptions. If Sorensen is cut, though, he could benefit from the NFL's recent decision to increase practice squads from eight to 10 players.
