Thanks for these fun photos and history of the LDS Church leaders. I enjoyed participating in the "who is this man" and reading the brief stats of each man.

One had only a few right choices - even so, this was fun and interesting to try to match up the young boy with the adult man.

Since Elder Bednar looks exactly the same as when he was 15, there was zero challenge there.

A delightful quiz! Thanks for starting my day out on a positive note.

Great quiz. I think I missed only one. The quiz become easier as it progressed, because I could eliminate General Authorities already identified in the quiz.

I thought the key to identifying the General Authority was to see features in the younger version that still could be seen in the older. For example, Elder Perry's smile. It was the same for the younger as for the older. Another example was Elder Holland's cheeks. They were distinct as a child and distinct as an adult.

These kinds of articles in the Deseret News make me uncomfortable. I have never liked the "General Authority as Celebrity" mindset.

I would rather see you do an article on an obscure, quiet, humble widow.

Jesus said "Let he who would be chief among you be as one who serves". And "the first shall be last and the last shall be first."

The only one I had no problem with was the last one of Elder Scott. Not exactly a baby picture was it.

We create an environment of celebrity status of these servants of God that I think is wrong. What happens when one of them falls? And they have in the past. They would take with them people who "worship" them. We need to focus on Jesus Christ.

Thanks for that fun interlude!!

I only missed one with Elder Ballard. Fun quiz DN.

Didn't do too well, but I enjoyed it.

It would have been nice to see a few pictures of our female leaders included in this quiz. The article/quiz is titled: "LDS leaders picture quiz." We certainly have capable female leaders in the Church. It would be great to see them profiled alongside the brethern in pieces like this. The cultural issues of gender inequality that we face will never be resolved until we start thinking of women as leaders, whether they are ordained to priesthood offices or not.

So, Deseret News editors: please consider updating this quiz with pictures and information about some of the wonderful female leaders we have.

I missed Elder Ballard. What a fun quiz.

Funny that a few of the posters here are only telling on themselves with their negative comments.
I enjoyed the pictures very much.

Have to agree with @Mack2828. One can (should?) respect a position a person holds without venerating the person. Casting general authorities in the role of celebrity adds to the myth of their infallibility, which exists in the minds of far to many LDS Church members.

When in Seminary ages ago one of the requirements was we each had to be able to name all the general authorities by picture, including seventies --- that'd be impossible today there are so many of them. When watching conference nowadays there will be a seventy being released after years of service and my wife and I will look at each other and say, "Who?"
