The list left out chemical/petroleum engineers who would certainly be in the top 2 or 3, if not no. 1. It just goes to show that math and science are key subjects. Engineers tend to give up a lot of social life during college, but are laughing their way to the bank thereafter.

Suprised not to see nursing on here. Utah pays nurses poorly compared to the rest of the nation but they still start at about $22/hr. That is in the $45K range and that is with an associates degree! With a BSN and a few years expierence they can make $60k and up.

The number of available jobs for software developers continues to grow at a rate faster than the number of trained developers. Expect to see salaries continue to rise in this field.

Sadly, a BSN degree does nothing for wages. Nobody (at least in Northern Utah) pays more for a higher degree for a regular floor nurse.

Didn't see any military jobs listed. Hmmm

What about actuaries? I believe it is around $72,000.
