Having lived most of my life outside of Utah I am constantly amused by the apparent need here for validation and relevancy from the rest of the world. Is this media driven or a real need from the residents of Utah? Is it because they are worried that the rest of the world sees Utahns as weird or too LDS? Several of these "Utah Representatives" merely passed through the state and I'm sure they have no concept of representing "us" in the NBA.

This state has a lot to offer. I'd suggest we just be proud or who we are and what we have here.

I, for one, always enjoy 'tracking' the movements of kids that once played here (and by "here" I mean ANYWHERE within the sound of a Utah Sports radio station or Newspaper coverage area.

It doesn't "validate" me in any way; nor do I need it to ....... Nut it's always interesting in much the same way as the "where are they now" segments do
