We scoured the state in finding five of the top prep performances for Week 9. Teams are honing in on the playoffs and the top players are raising their level of play as a result:
Bateman only completed 14 passes during the Colts' 44-20 win over Copper Hills, but five of those throws went for touchdowns. Bateman threw for 244 yards on the night.
Henry scored four touchdowns in his team's 37-20 win over South Sevier. He ran the ball 15 times for 101 yards.
Engstrom led the Hawks' offense in their 62-29 blowout of West Jordan. Engstrom ran the ball 11 times for 92 yards and three touchdowns while catching three passes for 90 yards and another touchdown.
Brown ran the ball nine times for 152 yards and three touchdowns in his team's 38-0 win over Kanab. He also caught three passes for 44 yards of which one went for a touchdown.
Carson came up big in Maple Mountain's 34-27 big win against Orem. He ran the ball 28 times for 254 yards and four touchdowns while catching two passes for 57 yards.
