Last question is wrong. While Darth/Anakin does throw Palpatine down the reactor shaft, it is rather clear prior to that that his force lightening, while painful, is not killing Luke. It is Sidious's extra exertion, concentration and frustrated repeated attempts that distract him such that Anakin is able to rise behind him and grab him. Otherwise Luke soon would have been able to rise, fetch his light sabre and finish off the Dark Lord himself. This was about Anakin's opportunity for redemption.

At least the question didn't wrongly ask who killed Sidious, who didn't actually die but rather became disembodied from Palpatine who was merely just one of many host bodies Bain had possessed over a millenia in his warped version of being eternal. Yoda knew this from his encounter on Corsucant when he chose to leave in exile rather than risk becoming Bain's host -- that truly only Luke, his father and his yet unnamed grandfather (a Skywalker, not a Jedi or a Sith) can truly deal with the ancient evil that Bain is -- the subject of the final three films.

I missed one. So I am a Jedi Master.

West Jordan, UT

I missed five...

@ Brent - are you sticking to the newly approved "canon" or are you referring to the newly designated "folk tales"? I'm just curious b/c I don't recall Bain being mentioned in the movies - though what you say makes sense.
